gah--i am in love with j again. but i swear(!!!!) that it's 8 million times different now. he was crying to me last night cause we'll be moving away from each other soon. he said, "oh nikki, what are we going to do?" i guess nothing but be sad in feb.
okay, i'm at work now. i've been here since 9:32. this will be a four hour day today. i will be gone at 3:32 hopefully...or sometime around then. still gotta go to french class today.
spoke with a friend of jim's today about getting my windshield. all in all, it won't be more than $300. he said install would be around $150 and then the windshield (used) will be no more than $150. he's also gonna look for a washer reservoir for me, which is awesome. so, yea! new windshield for my car. that totally rocks. maybe i can get him to reattach the defroster for me too. that would be awesome. as long as i can get a guarantee that the windshield won't crack again for the winter i'm fine. that makes me so happy. my car will be all good again (minus the scratches on the bumper, which aren't all my fault).
I've been done with Animal Crossing for about a month. I actually already sold it, I just need to ship it. I really don't want to, but I guess that's what I get for listing it. :( I found Wendell and Crazy Redd's the first time they were in my town. I kept feeding Wendell fruit until I accidently handed him one of the fish I was carrying around and found out that was what he was looking for. It was so annoying to listen to him repeat those same phrases over and over again while feeding him.
We saw a kitty in our backyard over the weekend that has a badly broken foot. When the cat put weight down on the foot, it collapsed in upon itself and folded all the way back - ugh! When we went out to get it, it ran away on its three good feet. I hope that we can catch it and get it to the vet. We put a huge bowl of food out and now its all gone, so if we can keep him coming back, we should be able to catch him some time. I think that his foot has been getting progressively worse because Travis mentioned that about a month ago he saw the cat limping, but it was in no way broken. I feel so bad for the poor critter.
i finally found wendell last night on AC. damn, it was a pain to figure out what he was hungry for, but he stays in town the whole day and will only give you one wallpaper. i also found redd's store earlier this week. stuff's really overpriced there. i've gotten all the fossils so now i just run around getting money to buy & resell stuff for the raffle at the end of the month. i won one fishing tourney and got a samuri suit (a piece of furniture).
nik - we'll try to make it this weekend, but no promises with the holiday and all.
i'm not inspired enough to answer the christmas survey yet....
steph called yesterday while i was sleeping asking if she could borrow $50 to enroll kurtis in gymnastics. now, yes, i've loaned her money before. but i explained sunday that i didn't have money to spare (since she wanted to go to the tori concert in cleveland today so that she could meet tori). i hope i didn't yell at her....i can't really remember though. whoops.
i overslept today. woke up around 6:20. got here a little before 7. cheryl got a call that her dog died (he was in the hospital). she was sobbing. poor l'il guy. he was old and had pancreatitis & diabetes, so it was really only a matter of time. she's at home now, prolly telling her kids that cimba isn't coming home.
Her parents didn't really like white people. They're very racist. They hated me instantly and forbid her to hang out with me, though I'm the sweetest person ever!
I hate blogger. Last week most of the postings wouldn't show for hours. Grrrrr...
Jennifer Yee?? We just grew apart. Her parents never liked me and we always had to sneak around to be friends and as time passed we just stopped getting together because it was more trouble than it was worth.
I'm skipping class tonight too. We haven't had hot water in the past 4 days, so I've had like 2 minute showers. I just want to go home and get clean since the guy is supposed to come fix it today. If he doesn't, I'm gonna flip out and kill someone!
My weekend was boring. We just sat around and watched tv since my mom was in town. We're so freaking short staffed today and its pissing me off! They're letting us go early on Wednesday, so it's only a 2 1/2 day week.

work is boring. i wanna go home. i have to go to the post office today. assloads of stuff to ship. one item to return. damn lady described the shirt as 100% cashmere and it's a silk/cashmere/nylon/spandex blend. i wouldn't have bid on the auction if it was described as such (since the opening bid was $25). my cashmere has been getting machine washed lately. still looks good to me :)
got a sick fish at work :( the blue guy appears to have swim bladder problems (he's side-ways swimming) and has a spot of white ick on a fin. so, he's in green water. he's still eating though, which is a good sign. hopefully he'll pull through. it looks like the red guy has fin rot, since his fins aren't so long and pretty. maybe they'll grow back. i should prolly treat the entire aquarium, but i just cleaned it yesterday....

i didn't do anything wrong at all!!!!!!!! i wrote back something to the effect that i would never tell one of my friends who is feeling down to "fuck off". i also said that i know he's having a tough time right now in life, but i am not the one he should be taking it all out on. i said that it doesn't make sense why he is so livid. i said those emotions are usually reserved for someone whoyou really care about. i told him that if he didn't want to be my friend anymore, that was his choice.
If you have a gamecube get Metroid Prime NOW!!!!!! The only game I can compare it to is Halo because they are both FPS but Metroid is more of a FPS adventure with tons of places to explore and lots of cool stuff. One of the best parts of the game is how the enviroment effects the HUD, when its raining small droplets will form on your screen its just amazing. Nicole get the game because if you don't like it I think Travis will.
You'll be better off getting out of that house anyway Amanda. There's no reason you should have to put up with that crap if your sister gets away with anything she wants when she's so much younger than you are.
ugh, so, yes, i'm getting evicted from my own house. my biological mother is disowning me. no, not the step-father that seems to hate anything i do, but my mom. the person that i left work early for to take to the emergency room, the person i would sit with for hours while she was waiting for a shot...

my family's just fucked up. and i've started WWIII between all of them.
but i'll be out soon and that's all that matters. i expect a lot of stuff to go into storage, but we'll see. my aunt's ex is supposed to be cleaning the attic for me this week so that i can move in after finals. or during finals week.....soon. period. i want out as soon as possible. and no later.
and my mother is quite clear with my intentions of having nothing to do with my family. i might go back for mail for the first month or so, but anything after that...nope. it's not like the continent where i didn't have a washer/dryer combo except for the community ones that you need to babysit.
i need to work. i woke up late today since i was at steak & shake with chad and nikki 'til after 11. i didn't get to wash my hair this morning. i look like hell wearing a cashmere cowlneck, stretchy black pants and the sketchers zippy boots. i look like hell in expensively fashionable clothes. its a good combo....
Does anyone have any good ideas for a prank? One of the girls at work and I are bored out of our minds and want to spice things up around here against the guys in my department - or one guy, we're not picky.

update: dan is going to the tori concert. he forgot that not only did he originally make plans for the wedding (though the tori tickets were purchased first), they also planned an OSU/Michigan party at their place saturday, so they will all be too drunk to drive to west virginia for the wedding. so, he's free for the night. DAT recorder and all. so, i don't have to worry about walking in all bow-legged because i've got a camera stuck on one leg and a recorder on the other (dan's response was: "wild night, huh?" if i was to be walking around like that).
back in the swing of things again today. talked to my g-ma and aunt yesterday. took the desk that i bitched about trying to build sunday night back to target. problem? it's not supposed to hold over 35lbs each shelf....well, my monitor weighs 50. also, it needs secured to the wall to make it "more stable". with how i always hate my room, i don't want a permanent position for my desk. also, since it's one of those pre-drilled "easy assemble" deals, the holes are drilled off center. too much of a pain for me. so, eventually i'll be purchasing the desk i like at best buy...or when i move i can set my room up differently enough that the booth is not so messy/crowded. i plan on using the bench then so, it'll look awesome. and i'll get the monitor centered so it's not lopsided.
dan's trying to get outta the wedding to go to the tori concert. the invitation was originally sent to his roommate + a guest, which was assumed to be dan. but his roommate mentioned perhaps bringing a girl he is currently dating. so, if he does that, then dan isn't obliged to go to the wedding. honestly, i don't care what he does. i know he wants to go to the concert, and this was planned well before the wedding reservations were made.
chad and my one year is friday. it was thanksgiving last year, but thanksgiving is one of those floating holidays....
The last episode of the DBZ season airs tomorrow at 6:30 and once more ONLY Wednesday at 4:30, then they restart the season. This episode, Evil Kid Buu is notyet out on videotape, so even I haven't seen it!
Well, they get what they deserve if they aren't going to treat her with any respect. From what she's always saying, she does errands for them all of the time without getting anything out of it but a loss of time and her own expenses. God, I'm glad I don't have to deal with parents like that!
Her aunt lives about 10 min from our work so that puts her about 20 mins away from me so its not too bad, anything is better then the house she is in now. I wonder what her parents will do when the only person in the house that did anything isn't there.

god, i hate my family. they're threatening to get rid of the dog because I WOULDN'T GO GET DOG FOOD at 9:45pm. nevermind that i went and got them a prescription that wasn't even theirs at 1:15am friday night/saturday morning in the ghetto. they couldn't go get dog food because they're too fucking lazy. john couldn't open his eye and my mom complained that her legs hurt. nevermind that i was busy trying to put something together (a desk). so, i plan on moving out this weekend. i'm gonna live with my aunt. and she said i could bring my dog with me.
obviously i didn't go to work today. i was too upset to sleep most of the night. i need to get ready for class though. yea....

I think my story is starting to drain me. I'm starting too feel way too much, like I somehow opened some floodgate by writing my characters life. It's almost like I'm falling into her persona and it's bothering me.
Well, it's best to write in the fashion that you're comfortable in or that you're feeling even though you can't post it. Being a Virgo, I hate writing out of order - I like structure. My story didn't forward through email quickly last night after work and I couldn't stand to get out of order by writing something else. I'm a pain in the ass in that way.

Oh, suicide scenes are fun. I liked writing that type of scene for my prologue! So far I've written a lot, but I'm losing the flow. I haven't been rereading what I'm writing either and I know that there are going to be a lot of plot problems and grammer/spelling mistakes. Oh well, I need to remember this is all a rough draft and that if I ever wanted to rewrite it, I'd probably take half of the stuff out anyway! I'm having a great time writing so far!

A guy at work got Guess jeans yesterday and they are the red patch. When I said those were girls pants, he got mad. :-) I looked on Ebay and most guys jeans were green, but there were a few red (those could've been people who had women's jeans and didn't know and therefore listed them as men's). I'm not sure if they use the patches on certain types of their jeans. Who knows. Either way, I'll always believe he has the girls jeans if the red patch is on them!
I could've sworn that you were in the Sound of Music my freshman year. I seem to remember you from that, but not from school. I'm a few years younger than you - graduating class of 98 (not at GC though). Where did you go to middle school?

ben's new thing is he's gonna start a networking/computer repair business [with his friends]. frankly, this guy managed to get an e-mail virus using AOL, which fried his harddrive because he's not smart enough to use a virus scanner. when i got the same virus (months later but prolly from him) i had a pop-up stating that a file was infected (it got past my e-mail virus scan). john [my step-father] managed to clear the virus within 5 minutes by deleting and re-installing the file through DOS. but ben, fucking ruined his system. i recommend not taking your computer to him....
lol. nikki said the same thing. he says he's gonna buy a house and all this crap. whatever. i have a better probability of getting outta my house by the end of 2003 AND driving a new (to me) car.
I'm not doubting you, but from the way Ben acts, I don't think there is any way he would ever admit it to you. He just won't admit it and if he's the type of person to act like that, then fuck him. Let him life his life and hopefully he won't hurt anyone else like that. However, you've got to think about yourself and your own relationship and just let him live in his ignorant bliss. It seems to me like he doesn't live in reality anyway from the conversations that take place between you two.

i FINALLY got ahold of my damn cultural pluralism prof to get the syllabus from '98. hopefully i can get my transfer credits evaluated this week so i can see how many GECs i have left to take. i think i'm gonna take a half day off and drive all over campus. that "A" permit will come in handy since nothing is close-by. so, hopefully by next week i can get an idea of exactly how much longer i have until graduation. i need to figure out what to do about my damn AP biology credit that is "missing"...because i know that is part of the stupid core classes i still need to take....
I am absolutely out of this world pissed off at work and my boss right now for one of the freaking stupidest reasons. However, I'm mad, so who gives a flying fuck how stupid the reason is? I'm even more pissed that I'm so pissed off I can't write.

Jeez yesterday was crazy did anyone else have a major storm in their area? The one that blew threw us had rotation so it might have been a small tornado and i beleve it it was amazing, but the worst part was not having power for over 10hrs.

That's fine if you write the chapters and put them in order later, just don't edit them!! :) When I first started writing, I was doing one section at work and another at home and just combined them. I made sure that htey would mesh in a way that I wouldn't need to edit them to get them to compliment each other.. Or, at least I think they do - I haven't read them to make sure.
i know i shouldn't go back and change the chapters, but it's kind of pivotal to the reader, the order that they're in. i'm so bad that way. i wish i could just type and not look back. that's what i'm trying to do from now on. i am soooo damn behind!! i do have two other chapters written that aren't posted yet. so i am ahead in that way. i just need to fill in a couple of chapters in between.

1) Given the opportunity, what piece of home entertainment would you add to your "collection" to enhance your enjoyment? Please pick one you don't already have (ie: if you have a decent TV but want a plasma, that's a no-no. If you have a really crappy TV, explain and it will be accepted). I would also get a surround sound system. Travis and I spent almost $2,000 last year and bought one, but decided to take it back. I think now that we have a house we're going to have to rethink it and go back out and buy it again - maybe a better system this time though.
2) What famous persons feature (ie: looks, hair, body part(s), talent) would you like to steal for your own? (Celebrity what not used to open the field for writing ability and the like.) I would like to steal one of my favorite artists talents for singing and producing music. I'm not picky, i would take any of my 4 or 5 favorites ability since I like each one for a different aspect of their musical ability.
3) What fiction-type ability would you like to steal for your own? (All aspects of fiction are included, from movies through books to comics.) I'm not sure of that - I'd have to think on it.
4) Speaking of SEX (I know, I wasn't speaking of it, but tough), what activity most relates to/makes you think of sex? (Be weird if you want, I'm not necessarily looking for honesty here.) Being a girl, that one is tough to answer. Usually it's just seeing a couple who looks in love or seeing some sexual act on tv. I don't generally walk around horny or anything. :)
5) What did you hate the most about the last Friday Five? I ignored it, but since I see that it was about politics, I would simply have to say BAD - me no likey

I got over 35K this weekend, but I really dedicated myself on Saturday. If I had actually done much on Sunday, I could've kicked some serious writing ass!

ah, the wonderful world of blogger....finally, a day off that I can rest and relax. I've come to the conclusion that I'm really lonely. No friends around to hang out with, but Thanksgiving and Christmas are fast approaching, so I might actually get to see some people! Oh, and my five-year high school reunion is this month. That's going to be really interesting. I'm trying to find a date for it, but with very little luck. Hell, I have problems finding a date for a normal Saturday night!

Hey Nikki, I like the start of your novel. You know, it reminds me of the new novel by David Eddings called Regina's Song. It's about a twin who was murdered also and the remaining twin goes nuts - and I do mean NUTS! I won't tell you about it in case you want to read it, but it's a neat story and you can get through it really quickly.
i'm getting stuck on chapter 2 . that's where i really introduce the main characters. i've got the rest of the chapters planned out more or less, i just have to get over this hump.

I'm right there with you Amanda - i think I'm one of the only people here who works and no one could give a damn. Funny, those people who slack all day are always the ones to get promoted also.
i sent my boss an e-mail tuesday afternoon. it was flagged high priority but he has yet to read it. basically i'm pissed that on top of cash posting (batches) i am required to work the credit balance report for medicare, post some collection agency payments (most aren't bad, but one company, acclaim, is horrible) and combine patients accounts to create one account for payment plans. well, tuesday afternoon somebody dropped a central benefits check on my desk. central benefits is the entire university's health plan, so this is a large check ($565K). i don't have time to post something like that, and i tried to explain that to the person (nevermind the fact that he told me that the next central benefits check i got would be a smaller hospital check - not OSU main but the james). i pitched a fit with the guy and he stormed off. it's been sitting on my desk since then. yesterday i was given accounts to transfer and several small collection agency checks. today i was given another collection agency check and two acclaim checks. the acclaim checks alone will take a day....so, there are piles of shit on my desk that aren't getting done and other people in this department sit and do jack shit all day long. am i the only person that works??? only 4 of the "6" cashiers are given central benefits checks weekly. there is justification that since the other two have other projects (one girl gets out for posting maybe 20 patient checks). oh, so even though they keep ADDING projects to my workload, i still have to post the fuckers. so, being pissed that my boss (the assistant director) has not read his e-mail, i waited outside his office while he was on the phone so i could talk to him. he totally blew me off and walked away. seriously. i'm fucking pissed. i don't wanna be here.....
i'm not asking what those people were looking for, although there was a site on the italian chandelier position that offered "free sexual positions". so, maybe that's something to check out outside of work...

annoyance of the day: having to fix my shirt before i could wear it to work. here's the deal, i woke up around 5:30 and decided not to wash my hair (but don't fret, salon selectives makes a nice "air it out" spray that removes funky odors) so i grabbed some water and went to get dressed. being lazy i decided on the paisley velvet pants and i then grabbed my black top that has bra-hooks down the front instead of buttons. i hooked it just past my bra when i realized the next 4 hooks were bent outwards enough that they wouldn't hold. so, i spent a good 5 minutes digging for a pair of pliers. i found some and fixed the shirt quickly (it was either that or use the replacement hooks and that required sewing) and headed out to work.
my t'ai chi paper that's due today is the lamest paper i've ever done. atleast in yoga i could write a few lines for a topic. for t'ai chi i had to write two pages. so, needless to say it's like a lab report in high school science classes....straight bullshit.
i need to go cut my tim horton's with some coffee, it's a little too sweet...

Thank you Nikki, I appreciate the compliment. I think that I lost a lot of what I was trying to capture when I actually went passed the prologue. I guess I wonder if people will understand it if they haven't been to that "place" before. Most people don't understand that the mind would actually jump around like that. I would definitely love to make a novel out of it if I can re-edit it properly and give it the feeling that I think it's missing from being rushed. :) Of course, I still have a lot of words to go so it's hard to imagine even getting to the place where I ever could edit it! Keep me posted on your novel Nikki, I'd love to read it if you're willing to share.

I have about 15,000 words. I didn't get a chance to write at all yesterday. I have 10,000 of them here at work and the other 5,000 are on my laptop at home.
okay, a lot of the billing here (at the hospital) is covered by outside companies. well, we have one lady that's usually here once a week that we all hate. she had a huge rip in the ass-seam of her pants about a month ago....and she always wears those things from the "hair-slut" booth. there is no way her nappy-ass has perfectly curled and highlighted blonde ringlets. it just isn't possible. she's nasty, like sue nasty. maybe they're related...
but, onto the point....
so, none of the vendors here have permanent desks, with the exception of two girls that are here daily. everybody else, including bonnie, are forced to fight for computers. well, nappy-lady came in a few weeks ago and the "vendor cube" in my area must've been full becuase she had to go over to another department. well, they wouldn't let her sit where she wanted so she started screaming and cussing and making this huge scene. she was escorted out by a supervisor.
why did she come back?
all she does (well, that vendor in general) is fuck up all accounts they are given. they will bill plastic surgeries to insurance and say we didn't register the insurance info (duh). then we will get a denial stating "no authorization" and the patient will expect it to be written off, because their insurance statement says they don't owe....
unfortunately my last name doesn't fall within the range of the alphabet they work or i would go get some plastic surgery and get her to bill my insurance for it....
I'd like to read it. I'm going to get mine up this evening also if I have time after fencing, if not, it's going to be stuck in Word until tomorrow night.

my story is basically about my life. hehe. it's kind of a comedy of the difficult events i've gone through. i'm writing it as thought i'm someone else who is writing an autobiography. it's kind of strange. i'm sure no one will want to read it when i'm through.
i don't know what the fucking deal is, it's just a pain in my ass. and now it's going to be a pain in my ass every fucking quarter. i don't see what the problem is either....
How hard is it for them to understand that you are working around classes and therefore you will always need to be working different hours? Who cares when you work as long as you get 40 hours? What's the big freakin' deal?
originally, when i interviewed for my position almost three years ago, i made sure that hours were flexible and i could come and go as i pleased and go to classes during the day. all was fine. i took a day class and a night class and was taking 10 credit hour quarters.
skip to this year. people fucked up that whole flex time thing. now there's a set schedule. one of two. you can work the 8 hours/5 days a week thing or you can do 9 hours 4 days and get a half day off. the hours that you are supposed to work are between 7am - 5:30pm. well, since i have classes 4 days a week, i have to come in at 6:30 so that i am not fighting with rush-hour traffic both to and from work. it was okay'ed. well, in registering for next quarter, this is what i was planning:
monday 7:00-1:00 (class break) 3:45-6:00 (leave) [8 hrs]
tues/thurs/fri: 7:00-4:10 [8h 40m]
weds: 7:00-1:00 [6 hrs]
so, all in all it's almost the 9 hour 4 days a week thing. he asked why i didn't just do that. why? so i can leave work at 11:00 am on wednesday and still be stuck on campus for two hours until i had to go to class? i register tomorrow...and don't know if i can even work around my fucking schedule. it's one goddamn class. and i can't take it at night or as independent study. but half the department i work in can come to work at (or before) 6am, without approval for said work schedule, and that's fucking okay? ARGGG! i mean, i thought my whole schedule would be perfect, since ALL OF IT is within the hours that were set on the planned schedules. but no. and they don't seem to realize that my schedule is going to change quarterly. and apparently this is their problem with me. every fucking quarter i'm gonna have to draft a whole new schedule of how i can work 40 hours in a week and still go to class....
it's just a pain in my ass. and then i get a nasty look when i said i still had approximately 2 years left. not my fault. it's yours. if i didn't have to work here, i would have graduated by now.....

I didn't sign back on last night to see if I won the fishing tourney. Are the results posted somewhere? I played up until about noon and was winning with a 26 inch fish. How big of a fish won your tourney. When I kept only catching 26 inch large bass I got tired of playing and quit. I completely forgot to sign back on to find out who was winning. I only got t-shirts also for all of the trouble of catching fish. Grrr...
My house is about 35,000 points. I have no idea how you can get more points than that though. You must have to have an entire house filled with rare items only.
Nikki, what I'm writing about is hard to describe. I did really well over the weekend though and am at 15,000 words. My mom is coming to Arizona on November 20, so I'm trying to get the 50,000 words by then. I know she wouldn't want to fly 2,000 miles to have me holed in my room writing. I'm going to try to get it all done before then, but if not, I want to be as close to 50,000 as possible so that I can finish it during my lunch breaks at work. nicole, how did the first fishing tourney go on AC? i almost had the biggest catch, but was beat in the last hour. i was pretty pissed. i kept catching other large bass but not large enough apparently. all i got for having the max for two hours was a blue check outfit, i was pretty irked. i won an ivory piano, a pond and a black chess piece at the raffle at the end of last month. don't have room for any of them though. the house is over 20,000 points. oh wait, i stuck the piano in my bedroom. i don't see how the HRA people say my house is wasted when there's no room to put stuff....i even have one of the living fossil fish in my living room.
